Higher educational institutions and employers in the region recognize that retaining talented, educated young workers in the area is important for continued economic growth. This program partners with employers who provide paid summer internship opportunities for college students and aims to encourage students to stay in the St. Louis metropolitan area after graduation.

The Clayton Summer Associates Program fosters a long-term connection to Clayton and the St. Louis Region by connecting participating interns to each other through social programs and providing students with professional development and networking opportunities with professionals in the Clayton business community.
